Is There Beef Between Quatro & Jake De Leon?

Quatro and Jake De Leon are two of the biggest stars in the Philippine Wrestling Scene today.

These two have become synonymous with the phrase Philippine Wrestling. There’s no doubt that they’re looking to help bring Philippine Wrestling Revolution to new heights in years to come.

But, the biggest question on everyone’s mind in the past couple of months has been – “Is there beef between Quatro and JDL?”

PWR Blog prepared a timeline of events to look into this matter:

JDL’s Favors

Looking back, this rumored beef between JDL and Quatro began way before the events of PWR: Mabuhay Ang Wrestling (which we’ll get into later).

In a video addressed to the RevoNation, Quatro enumerated some favors JDL made that the Lightbringer had some issues with:

Two notable favors stand out in this video:

  1. JDL requested that Quatro put his PWR title rematch on hold to join Team Philippines
  2. JDL requested that Poch place Ken Warren in the PWR Title Match at Mabuhay Ang Wrestling to get revenge on Chris Panzer & MSG.

While these two favors may have hindered Quatro’s quest to regain the PWR Title, these weren’t the biggest offenses JDL did to the Lightbringer.

Mabuhay Ang Wrestling

As you can see in the video, Jake De Leon interfered in the 3-Way PWR Championship match at Mabuhay Ang Wrestling.

He initially inserted himself to make sure MSG didn’t further interfere in the match. But his help proved to be detrimental, especially to Quatro.

As with his two questionable favors before Mabuhay Ang Wrestling, JDL served up two more offenses to Quatro at the event:

  1. Accidentally superkicking Quatro in the face.
  2. Pulling the referee to make sure Quatro didn’t pin Ken Warren to win the championship.

This time, however, Quatro didn’t take to these favors or offenses as kindly.

Quatro clearly didn’t want to hear any explanations or apologies from JDL at this point and chose to walk away instead of discussing the issue.

Have cooler heads prevailed?

After the events of Mabuhay Ang Wrestling, JDL took to social media to apologize for his actions.

Not long after that, Quatro released his own statement after JDL’s words reached him.

It definitely seems that cooler heads have prevailed for now.

Jake De Leon has apologized for his actions and Quatro has accepted. But who know what’s bound to happen in the future?

If there’s one thing we’d like to see out of this beef, it would definitely be a match between the Lightbringer and Mr. Philippine Wrestling. And we are not alone in sharing the sentiment:

We can always hope and dream.
